After Angeal and Zack leave the training room, they later head to the SOLDIER director Lazard's office, and they learn Angeal's childhood friend, Genesis, has betrayed Shinra and deserted with a number of other SOLDIER members. Lazard proceeds to give Zack and Angeal orders to go to Fort Tamblin for the final battle of the Wutai War. Before beginning their mission, Angeal informs Zack that he recommended him to become 1st Class.

This trend first began back in the eighties and nineties with many PC games needing to be installed using stacks of floppy discs, though it eventually petered out in the early two-thousands with the release of high-capacity DVDs. Before it did though, it enjoyed one final hurrah, with more than fifty multi-disc games being released on the PlayStation 1. It's worth noting that multi-disc games do still pop up from time to time even to this day, but no home console had more of these things than Sony's very first little gray box.
When people think of PS1 games with multiple discs, the system's three mainline Final Fantasy titles are usually the first to spring to mind. Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX each boasts four discs, which is the same number as Sony's much-loved JRPG title, The Legend of Dragoon. Other notable examples of PS1 RPGs with more than one disc include Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and the two Lunar games, Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.
One of the biggest advantages of the switch from cartridges to discs was the huge increase in storage. It may not seem like much by today's standards, but 700MB was a lot of space back in the day and developers soon realized that they could use this increased storage to include full-motion videos in their games. Not only did this lead to the popularization of FMV cutscenes and, with it, narrative-driven video games, but it also caused a huge increase in the number of interactive movie games. These included Fox Hunt and Psychic Detective, both of which required three discs in total.

Pirates have entire ISO images available for download, they have lists and lists of serial numbers, and for many software products, they've actually reverse-engineered the serial number algorithms and have produced keygens -- software that can automatically generate a license key.
Ideally, license to a user, not a machine. Make it easy and simple to move from machine-to-machine, because a Windows reinstall shouldn't necessitate a whole series of support emails just to get software working again. And if you must use a serial number, make it clear and easy to deregister a copy from one machine and assign it to another.
